Biography

Zabriskie combines SHOEGAZE with elements of POST-ROCK, DREAMPOP and classic SINGER-SONGWRITING.

A signature of their style are epic intros with a careful approach to the heart of a song. Dreamy harmonies, built up with vocals and psychedelic layers of guitar, both drenched in textural reverbs, often build a counterpart to a solid rhythmical foundation with drum and bass. Fragile vocals alternate with ambient-like instrumental passages. Song structures are repeatedly built up and then broken down again.

This mixture of sound is what gives the band its character. As a trio, the band tends to leave space between notes and give each instrument its place while still sounding full and wide. On finding this balance, Zabriskie takes the listener on an exciting journey.

With "DARKLIGHT", Zabriskie has published their third album and their most compulsive and bold set of songs to date. It's an album about fear, self-doubt and desire.
