Biography
At the beginning, Troya was a project for 2001 with the two local bands of Cuenca, “Stonedoor” and “Profecía”, it had some members until 2003, when it appeared as a solid and stable band.
The band has inspirations of every kind of Heavy Metal, Melodic, Progressive, Speed metal and also Hard rock.
At the beginning of 2003, the band entered in the recording studio and they recorded their first record-demo “Tambores de Guerra” (Drums of War). Produced and autopublished at local level. Carrying classic heavy metal sounds and lyrics, mixing melody and appreciable music-vocal contrasts.
After “Tambores de Guerra”, they came back to the recording studio to record the single of their next record. The single is composed of two songs. The name of the single takes the name of the first song that is “Esclavo del tiempo” (Slave of Time), this song is full of catchy melodies and it is made for a wide variety of people and musical tastes.
Closing the single with the second song, we can find the version of “Sangre azul” (national band) called “Mil y una noches” (One Thousand & One Nights).
From February until June of 2006, Troya entered to record their second record “Sed de Victoria” (Thirst of Victory) with Julián García and Francisco Gascueña in production, with a meticulous and detailed product. In this record, as we can see, the maturity of musicians, lyrics and ways of composition has advanced. It is a rich record full of variants on the Heavy Metal theme.
