Biography

Dreamy-melancholic, intimate and soon loud and distorted: That is the sound of "the pigeons". With keys, bass, drums and Amina's voice, the whole spectrum of emotions is addressed. With the aim of expressing themselves musically, the four musicians Amina (vocals), Beni (keys), Tim (bass) and Nico (drums) from Frauenfeld and Zurich founded "the pigeons" on 13 June 2020. In the meantime, the band can look back on a full festival summer and a second place at BandXost 2021. However, the sound of "the pigeons" cannot be pigeonholed, because the band tries to place their music between the genre mesh of today. The changing rhythms and complex harmonies always provide moments of surprise and excitement, so the songs remain entertaining even after repeated listening. Keys, bass and drums form the foundation to which Amina's voice clings, is carried and stands out in the decisive moments. Guided by the musical expression of emotions, "the pigeons" plays very dynamically, soulfully, but always full of energy.
