Biography

A raw, powerful wall of driving drums, earthy humming bass and piercing guitar is torn down by melodic vocals and built together to form a huge store of well-kept rock music.

After two years in the basement, Soul Store begins its stage history with the first public gig in February 2020. The feedback speaks for itself. Organizer Andre Trepp (Swiss Attack) is more than satisfied with the performance and says: “Usually bands want to play so hard on stage debut that they lose themselves. I've never felt the soul like this at the first
appearance! "
Not to be forgotten, are the people in front of the stage, wonderfully sweaty from going off, who convey that THAT was good, even without words.
The first band contest - a weekend in the underground car park and the first video
In February 2020, the almost unheard band got the opportunity to take part in the band contest for the Riverside Festival in Aarburg. The four members did not allow themselves to be asked twice and accepted. The first six bands in the competition are allowed to play in the same festival as the Hollywood Vampires, for example. Shortly before the start of the voting, the organizer wrote: “We need a music video.” Thanks to the drummer's incredibly valuable connections, the video for the band's hymn “Sale at the Soul Store” was filmed in an underground car park during just one weekend and then on three days later YouTube released. The effort paid off and Soul Store took 3rd place in the competition.
Further booking inquiries also knocked on the shop door, and they happily accepted.
But then it was over. Lockdown. Ban on events. Just when they really wanted to get started, the world slowed down the musicians. Concerts have been canceled, postponed. Only at the small but more than fine Plan-B festival did Soul Store rock the meadow of Brittnau (AG).
But that Soul Store can turn a necessity into a virtue has been more than proven at least since the video shoot. So the boys decided to go to the studio with their lady. And so the first baby was born. The EP "Reward Prediction Error" will be released on December 31st, 2021 and shows five samples of the band's repertoire. Only jointly developed original compositions pop around the ears. Short and strong.
The EP only wants to say one thing: We are ready! We come out! Black Friday at the Soul Store - because with passion, everything is given in everything they do.

Small gigs were the beginning and the band received the great opportunity to play at the Riverside Festival in Aarburg. But even bevor this event took place there was the lockdown. Every gig was cancelled and the members of the band returned to their rehearsal room. But this time of forced break was used and so five songs were recorded, mixed and mastered at the Störsender Studio in Sirnach.
Like this the band announces the release of the first EP «Reward Prediction Error» in December 2021.
