Biographie

SKINNY WHO?
Skinny Legs are Strato (vocals), Pippo (bass), Stephen (drums) and Graziano (guitar). In 2009, after many years as an instrumental band, Pippo and Graziano decided to go one step beyond, hence Skinny Legs. Strato, a close friend, soon joined the band as a singer. In 2011, the initial demo recording titled ‘warm up’ consisted of three songs. At that time, Fabian (drummer) decided to leave the band. After a few rehearsals Stephen joined and completed Skinny Legs.

SKINNY STYLE?
The music can be best described as funk-rock. Energetic, distorted, funky and sometimes atmospherical define the variety of the songs. Lyrics are kept simple but pose a deeper meaning. Cover songs from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam and other favourite bands are sometimes performed. A visitor once said: “It sounds good but different.” Bottom line… visit a gig!

SKINNY QUARTERS?
The band room is located in an underground basement next to Aarau train station in Switzerland (…not Sweden). The so called „Cave” is a fully bomb resistant bunker. Many hours were invested into the interior and acoustic treatment of the band room. Despite the raw, isolated environment, the cave has become a real creative home. Skinny Legs is now on its way to the first album.
