Biography
Severin Bruhin has had his fair share of success as a session bassist. The 29 year old Swiss played international tours and concerts with Orava, Chris Reardon, Ms. Iles and Vermilion Day in the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Switzerland and 2019 at the legendary Glastonbury Festival with Uncle Funk. Alongside the hip-hop jazz duo Vertaal, he played the major jazz clubs in London, including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club and sold out Jazz Cafe.
In October 2021, he released his first EP Not About Me under the name Savri and made the transition from a session bassist to an independent artist. The debut was recorded at WAX Recording Studios in London. It is the collection of emotions, impressions and memories of the three years he spent in the British metropolis. Manifested in mesmerizing grooves and rhythms, melancholic melodies and soothing textures.
‚Not About Me’ has since been played by radio station in Switzerland (Radio Swiss Jazz, Radio Lora, Radio du bord de l’eau), France (Radio Kaos Caribou, Global Bazar!, Radio Des Boutières), United Kingdom (GW Jazz, Soho Radio, Power Ace Radio, OneLuvFM, Amazing Radio) and Belgium (What Is Hip) and was presented by blogs in Germany and Italy.
With the momentum of this release and a newly formed band, SAVRI continues to bring their energy to the stages in the UK and Switzerland.
