Sascha Knell

Biography

The singer, guitarist and songwriter Sascha Knell started giving concerts with his band “The Running Aztecs” in 2016. After playing several shows, he and the band became known amongst blues and rock fans for their energetic and authentic live performances.

In 2018, Sascha Knell decided to start a new project under his own name which would allow him to strike out in new directions. He surrounds himself musically with Philipp Lüdi (keys), who is known for his work with Johnny Fontane and the Rivals, with Sahin Dogan (drums) and Samuel Bobst (bass), who are both former members of “The Running Aztecs”. Although the roots of Sascha Knell’s music can be found in blues and rock, listeners will discover vibes and melodies which definitely derive from different places.
