Feeling a little blue? Raskolnikov will be your soundtrack. Sharp riffs, haunting melodies, it makes you want to throw yourself out the window, but moving your shoulders. An overwhelming shoegaze combined with somber post-punk, this is a gloomy cocktail just the way we like it. Recommended for fans of The Sound, The Sisters of Mercy, Interpol, Joy Division, Ghinzu...
Trio formed in 2015 between Geneva, Annemasse and Constance. The 7-track debut album "Hochmut kommt vor dem Fall" was signed to Parisian label Manic Depression Records (Frustration, Dear Deer, Tétines noires...) in 2017, followed by the 10-track album "Lazy people will destroy you" in 2020, on Icy Cold Records (Je t'aime, Varsovie...), the then-newborn label of Jean-Louis Martel, co-founder of Manic Depression.
The Band gets ist name from the main character of Dostojevski’s «Crime and Punishment».
Deprived of concerts in 2020 and 2021, the band recorded a live album, "Don't want to die of boredom today", including two new tracks, in anticipation of a third album in 2024.
Over 100 gigs, all over Europe behind them and a well-oiled live show;
Raskolnikov are Jérôme Blum (drums), Jaime Fernandez Da Costa (guitar) and Mathieu Pawelski-Szpiechowycz (bass guitar and vocals).
