Biography

Private Garden is a rock band from Switzerland.
Influenced by New-York based bands, Private Garden's music is also influenced by new-wave and psychedelic music.

Private Garden has as much members as nationalities
(USA, France, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium). Combining all these different horizons gives Private Garden an unique approach to their compositions. It is during a live performance that the artistic expression of each musicians is fully accomplished.

After eight years of common musical experience (of which three years within Private Garden), their music is now an
ambitious research in perfection and experimentation.

A bit of history:
Formed in 2006, Private Garden quickly began to write fast and energic songs. The goal was to play the most live venues as possible, without even thinking of going into the studio as all of the early recordings were done at home.

After a year, Private Garden started to write more complexe material: the musical research had begun.

After playing in England, France and Switzerland - in cities such as London, Paris, Reims, Lyon, Annecy, Geneva, Lausanne, Fribourg, Luzern and St-Gallen)
the band experimented different approches to their music. The result left them no choice: they had to find them selfs musically to define who they really are.

It is in 2009 that the band’s music finally came to
maturity, and the idea to record an album was possible.
The material was re-written and finalised two weeks before
the recording. The whole process of the album - from the conceptualisation to it’s mastering took four months.

Tempest is the result of three years of countless re-arrangements of almost fifty songs written since
the formation.
