The Swiss double bass player Pirmin Huber is a versatile composer and sound artist who has established himself in contemporary new Swiss folk music and live electronic music. He also skillfully stages instruments such as the Büchel (a small alphorn). He shapes folk music in a completely new way. Pirmin Huber combines swiss folk music with techno, jazz, classical or electronic elements.
With his double bass, electric double bass, Büchel or Ableton Push, he performs in various formations at public and private concerts within Switzerland and abroad. At his concerts he captivates his audiences with his open, charming personality and his outstanding musical skills.
As a music educator, he gives private lessons, teaches at several schools and conducts workshops for jazz, traditional and new swiss folk music. He also participates in radio and television performances and in various recording productions.
