Pimped Lemon

Biography

Pimped Lemon came together as a band in late 2015. The band displays songs with rock, pop and funk influences and has recently released its first EP "Pimped Lemon". Drummer Marco Danesin, bass player Samy Jost and singer/guitarist Alexander Ivanovitch, a trio that played together in several bands, reunited and were joined by guitarist Nicolas Cart and violinist Selim Neffah to rehearse and perform live some old material... and to start writing some new one. The "Pimped Lemon" EP reveals 4 of the many new songs the band has recently written. The title "Mug" mixes Brit-pop with beachside surfing styles to narrate the misadventures of a loser or "mug" venturing in central London.
"Dream" tells the too-well-known story of a young man madly in love with his girlfriend, but having the bad idea to call her in the middle of the night and to come back home way after the expect and hardly negotiated curfew time.
The Hendrixian ballad "Sway" provides some melodic guitar and bass lines creating a mellow atmosphere that culminates with a poignant violin solo part.
Finally the song "Big Blue" is a testimony of Pimped Lemon's drum and bass section's dreams of funk supremacy.
