Biography
PESA BAZZ is a Congolese singer based in Switzerland - a global citizen per se. After his childhood in Congo (DRC) he relocated to Switzerland, where he found his way to music - Reggae music at first, soon in the local dialect. Several projects brought him to all Reggae-Stages in Switzerland. Bondaa & Sille, Bondaa & Rootfire, Bondaa de Bänd, ... just to mention a few of those projects that led to appreciation by not only Swiss but also a majority of the Swiss-Jamaican community. Still, he never forgot his roots: Congo, Africa. Something he can never deny.
Since 2019 he goes by the name Pesa Bazz and focuses on African beats (Rumba, Afro Beats, Afro Trap). The new name soon catched first attention in Paris, Accra and Kinshasa and stoke the fire of Pesa Bazz even more. He decided to go back to field one, start from scratch and produce his very own Afro-Beats album totally independently. From the artwork, beats, lyrics, even the recording, mixing, mastering. Everything self-made. A tough process that formed Pesa Bazz' musical identity. A transition that made him what he is today. 2020 is Pesa Bazz' year of his musical definition. Singles like the fire-loaded «Pili Pili» (Hot Hot), the groovy «Dollar Love» or the emotional «Maman» unfold the original side of Grâce à Dieu Pueta, now known as PESA BAZZ.
In the meantime his catalogue was enhanced by grounbreaking combinations with Siddharta el Primero («Congozuela») and Joe Berry («Tokoss»). Pesa Bazz as always representing what he loves: African Music and Congolese Culture.
