Biographie

Hi, I'm a producer and DJ from the italian speaking part of Switzerland. I live in Vezia (small village near Lugano), I'm 27 years old and I've always listened to music. When I was younger I used to listen to some dance music which was, in my opinion, the best in this genre ('94-'96).
Then time has changed and in 1996 I decided to buy my first two turndables and a mixer. I didn't know anything about spinning and how to mix tracks together, but I just wanted to do some experiments. Times became more serious in 1999, when I bought a better mixer and then two Technics SL-1210MK2 decks. My fist party was in the beginning of the year 2000 in front of 750 people. Two months later I span in another party and I was contacted by the art director of the biggest local club, but I couldn't mix there because I was still under-age (17 years old).
When I turned to 18 I began to spin in that club (Alcatraz in Riazzino). It was great. I had the opportunity to know big artists like DuMonde, Cosmic Gate, Flutlicht (click here to see a flyer).
I've spun also in two raves, one with Mauro Picotto as special guest (flyer).
Unfortunately Alcatraz closed in 2002 and now I don't have dates anymore. I spin sometimes in bars or local little events, but nothing special. In november 2003 a Trance set mixed by me has been broadcasted on beatFM radio in Belgium.

Three years ago I started producing with Rebirth from Propellerheads software. It was a good program for beginners and I tried to take the best from it. When I was in the intention to begin with Reason 1.0.1 I made my last track with Rebirth called "Looking for a Reason".
I used Reason for almost one year and my last tune made 100% with it is "Endless galaxy", full downloadable in the Traxx section of this website. With that tune I participated to the Trance.nu producing competition in march 2003. "Hearts explosion" was the first track whith Roby-Sky's voice in it and has been released by a little promotional record label in Holland (printed on CD). Anyway these tracks were still not perfect and the sounds I used are raw and not enough processed...

Since that date I haven't produced anything because I decided to change my setup to some hardware devices. Reason sounds were, in my opinion and that time, not real like almost all virtual synths. I've worked a lot during the summer and I bought all the equipment for building a little studio. I hope to improve the quality of my next tracks. I don't like what I've made until "Endless galaxy" and I also want to change my stile to something more melodic, but at the same time full of energy. I have always had some ideas in my head, but the biggest problem was to recreate all with synthesizers and build all up. My first tracks made using the new studio are really "old school" and simple, but the main idea was to produce them for testing some new aspects, which are different switching from virtual synthesizers to hardware.

At the end of the year 2005 IDK, a friend of mine from Germany, invited me in Saarbrücken for spinning from 2 to 6 a.m. in a local club. It was the first time I had a date outside Switzerland and I am very happy about that. It was all possible also with the support of Oliver, who organized the whole party!

I've always had the idea to achieve a professional quality in my productions, which maybe is only arriving now. After years of teaching and testing I am finally happy with my track Quicksilver, produced in the year 2006.
