Biography
EP Release on 19 Mai - Release Show 2 June at Sääli Goldenes Fass, Basel
As the world becomes increasingly complex and nuanced, it can be easy to get lost in the gray areas and lose sight of what truly matters. This is where Kind Regards comes in. The fresh Basel acoustic combo around David Schwarz (vocals, guitar) and Pascal Grünenfelder (vocals, double bass) opens a world of clarity and color in the blurred layers of everyday life with their warm and emotional acoustic sound.
In their songs about identity, migration, love and truth, Kind Regards delve into the essential issues of life with honesty and sincerity. Always searching for the intangible, for the deeper meaning and inspiration in the beauty and melancholy of the world around us.
The two musicians have their common musical roots in the electropop band Five Years Older, and have now, a few years later, rediscovered each other in a more intimate setting. Inspired by the great fund of indie-folk-pop tradition and artists like Sophie Hunger, Bon Iver, early Radiohead, R.E.M., Agnes Obel, Kurt Vile or Kings Of Convenience, Kind Regards is carving out songs, moods and stories in a very unique, articulate handwriting.
After having two singles out (Decoy, Somebody Else) and their first shows early this year, their debut 4-Song EP will be released on 19 May, the first full-length album in early 2024.
