Biography
Janti began his career in the bars of Brussels, his hometown, and quickly gained recognition in various media. His cover songs and music videos caught the attention of international TV channels like Rouge TV (CH), TF1 (FR), and Koy Koy TV (GR), which broadcasted them on their shows.
Self-taught performing artist and songwriter influenced by Pop and RnB, he is proud today to sing his truth and share his journey. However, this hasn't always been the case. Of Assyrian origin and born in Belgium, Janti grew up in a multicultural and conservative environment. This path forced him to conceal his true identity and remain silent on important subjects such as freedom of self-expression, the LGBTQ+ cause, self-love, and inclusivity. It is precisely these subjects that characterize and empower this artist.
In 2015, Janti moved to Geneva and experienced a heartbreak that inspired him to create his first original songs that chronicle the stages of his breakup and explore the theme of romantic rebuilding. His soulful voice conveys poignant, melancholic, introspective, and catchy lyrics.
Janti has always been inspired by art and fashion. He has established a strong brand by unexpectedly blending music and fashion, a DNA he developed by creating his stage looks and visuals, drawing inspiration from his roots while infusing it with a modern and unique touch.
It wasn't until 2022 that Janti began expressing himself through his songs and started making a mark on the Swiss music scene, such as in Montreux Jazz Festival, Geneva Pride, Fête de la Musique, and by supporting local established artists like Roxane. His sound, touching, socially engaged lyrics, and powerful and meticulous visuals make him a fully-fledged artist.
