Biography
Having her origins from Madagascar, Isabelle Rabaraona spent her childhood surrounded by music, with brothers and sisters who performed as singers and instumentalists. She made her first recording at the age of 14, and nurtured her vocal style through her many stage performances while continuing her studies at the University of Ankatso in Antananarivo. Then she moved to France, and many projects leaded her to go on touring and to feature at " l'Olympia " (Paris) in 1991 with her sister Monique, then the lead vocal of the band "Les Surfs".
Later on she decided to work on the arrangements of her compositions and played with jazz musicians. Amongst the musicians she worked with, the swedish guitarist Linus Olsson, who often works with her as a duo. Then she performed with different combos and in different places in Sweden (Malmöfestivalen, Helsinborgjazzfestival , Jazz i Smygge, Jazz i Karkrona), in France and in Italy.
In 2005 Isabelle produces Infant Eyes, in which features harmonicist Olivier Ker Ourio, bassist Jean Marc Jaffet (of "Trio Sud" with André Ceccarelli and Sylvain Luc), and drummer Max Miguel.
Now Isabelle is working on different new projects, a new CD release is coming for 2013.
