Biography
Inemusige (Mathieu Bitz) is a young Swiss multi-instrumentalist and producer. Mathieu started playing saxophone at the age of 9, later he also learned drums and taught himself to play the piano. As a saxophonist, he was involved in jazz and funk music styles and performed with various own compositions and bands all over Switzerland. Among his greatest achievements is the Grammy nomination for the 2023 Grammys on the album "Remembering Bob Freedman" as the saxophonist of the Jazzaar BigBand, on which he was privileged to play with jazz legend bassist Ron Carter. He was also awarded 1st place in the Swiss Youth Music Competition with his band "Electromuse".
Since 2019, Mathieu is mainly on the road as a producer. During four years, he co-produced three albums and several singles for the Zurich singer "Mercee" (SRF Best Talent 2020). With Mercee he performed regularly as a keyboardist at festivals in Switzerland during this time and his productions were shown and played on Swiss television and radio.
Mathieu has always composed and produced his own music and finally decided to release his own productions in the house and techno genres under the artist name "Inemusige" in 2022. Hand in hand with this decision, Inemusige regularly performs as a DJ in clubs and at festivals. Influenced by his experience in jazz combos, classical symphony orchestras and funk/pop bands and paired with his know-how in electronic music production, Inemusige is able to naturally incorporate a wide variety of musical influences and cultures into his productions.
