Heliantus

Biography

Heliantus, born in 1971 as Chris Fasler in Aarau (Switzerland), started playing the piano at the age of six. Soon he created his own melodies. Until today he has created more than 100 pieces.

A few years ago, he began to transform his pieces into works from the electro/ambient genre. The similarity with the music of his great idol Jean-Michel Jarre is audible in many pieces.

The music of Heliantus has already been played on the radio. Especially as background to videos on various video portals the music of Heliantus enjoys great popularity.

Helianthus, correctly spelled with -h, is the scientific name of the sunflower. Since this name was already occupied by a music group, Chris Fasler decided to simply leave out the h. The name Heliantus played an important role in Chris Fasler's life. However, he does not want to reveal what exactly it is all about.
