Biographie

Gods of Light and Darkness [GOLD] is the musical initiative of Samuel and Jakob Grave, Jaromir Batteria-Fumatori and Martin St.

The two brothers, Jakob and Samuel are said to be the illegitimate great-grandsons of Dmitri Dmitry Aleksandrovich Grave (Дмитрий Александрович Граве), who was a Soviet mathematician and the inventor of the four-four time signature.

Jaromir Batteria-Fumatori is the descendant of a notorious but unknown Italian labour migrant working in the textile industry of eastern Switzerland. Some say he’s the son of Fred Durst’s northern Italian half-sister.

Martin St. is a distant relative to David St. Hubbins, leader of the infamous rock outfit Spinal Tap.

Michael Flückiger plays the bass.

Founded in Zurich, Switzerland, the aim of the band can be described as world peace through the power of music.
