Biography

Guy Bangwa alias « GEES », ist am 11 Mai 1983 als Sohn eines Kongolesen und einer Belgischer
Mutter in Genf geboren. Die plötzliche Scheidung seiner Eltern hinterlässt Wunden. Sein Unwohlsein
hebt sich während seiner Schulzeit hervor wo er an persönlichen Problemen wie Legasthenie,
Übergewicht und einer komplizierten Beziehung leidet. Während der Sport ihm sein Gleichgewicht
finden lässt, übernimmt die Musik eine zentrale Rolle in seinem Leben und gibt ihm einem
Lebensinn. Motiviert durch seine Träume und den Groll der Vergangenheit, erarbeitet er sich einen
Namen mit der Genfer Gruppe « CONTACT ». Er trifft auf verschiedene Artisten (STRESS, NEGA,
YVAN, M.A.M, DISIZ LA PESTE…) die ihm weiterhin erlauben sich in dieser Umgebung zu entwickeln. Nach 8
Jahren harter Arbeit, trifft er die Entscheidung als Solo-Künstler tätig zu sein und somit seine Ziele zu
erreichen. « GEES » bietet uns ein durchmischtes musikalisches Universum mit verschiedenen Stylen
und einem kritischen Auge auf die aktuelle Lage.
Im 2010 legte er einen Zahn zu um uns ein Album zu mixen welches voller Überraschungen ist
und um sich am Leben zu revanchieren. Jedoch ist die Welt der Musik voller falscher Versprechen,
Luftschlössern und Menschen mit schlechten Absichten, deshalb hat die Crew erst Ende 2010 es
fertig gebracht das Album « A TRAVERS VOS YEUX» zu lancieren. Seit 2012 gibt es sein erstes Street
Album zum gratis downloaden auf seiner Website: www.geesrnb.com .
Im 2012 auch die Krönung seiner grossen Bemühungen, der Gewinn in Frankreich an der
Meisterschaft im American Football mit seiner Mannschaft BLACK PANTHERS aus Thonon-les-bains.
Nach dem Erreichen dieser zwei grossen Ziele, steht im 2013 eine Auszeit an, die er für die
Bekämpfung seines Übergewichts besiegeln wird. GEES wird wie immer voller Ehrlichkeit und
Originalität wiederkehren um eine Show mit « NO PAIN NO GAME », seinem neuen Projekt zu liefern.

Guy Bangwa alias « GEES » est né à Genève le 11 mai 1983 d’une mère
Belge - Suisse et d’un père Congolais. Le divorce soudain de ses
parents le blessera profondément. Son mal être s’accentue durant ses
années de scolarité à cause de différents problèmes personnels
(dyslexie, obésité, relation amoureuse difficile…) Si le sport lui
permet de trouver un premier équilibre, la musique, elle, va devenir
son véritable exutoire et sa raison de vivre. Motivé par ses rêves et
ses rancunes du passé, il va se faire un premier nom avec le groupe
genevois « CONTACT ». Il rencontrera ensuite divers artistes
(STRESS,NEGA,M.A.M,YVAN, DISIZ LA PESTE…) qui vont lui permettre
d’évoluer dans le milieu. Après 8 années de travail, il décide de se
lancer en solo et ainsi atteindre ses objectifs. « GEES » nous offre
un univers musical métissé, mélangent différents styles toujours en
gardant un œil très critique sur le monde actuel.
En 2010, il met les bouchées doubles pour nous concocter un album
plein de surprises et prendre sa revanche sur la vie mais le monde de
la musique foisonne de fausses promesses et de mirages, de personnes
pas toujours bien intentionnées, ce n’est que fin 2010 que l’équipe
est trouvée pour faire aboutir "A TRAVERS VOS YEUX" son premier street
album téléchargeable gratuitement sur son site internet
www.geesrnb.com depuis juillet 2012.
2012 vit aussi le couronnement des efforts de ce grand sportif en
devenant vice champion de France du championnat Elite de football
américain avec son équipe les BLACK PANTHERS de Thonon-les-bains.
Après ces deux objectifs atteints, 2013 sera un temps de pause
consacré à mettre un terme à son obésité, GEES nous reviendra toujours
épris de sincérité et d’originalité pour faire le show avec "NO PAIN
NO GAME" son nouveau projet.

Guy Bangwa aka GEES was born in Gene- va on May 11th 1983, of a
Belgian-Swiss mother and a Congolese father. The early and to him
unexpected divorce of his parents affected him deeply. This got worse
during his school years due to personal problems (dyslexia,
overweight, a strained love af- fair...)
Practising sports helped him find some sort of balance, but it was
music that would be- come the outlet for his anger and his rea- son
for living.
Strongly motivated by his dreams as well as by his accumulated anger,
he started his
musical career with the Geneva based band CONTACT. He then met various
artists (DJ VINCZ LEE, STRESS , NEGA, M.A.M, YVAN, DISIZ LA PESTE...)
who helped him get his bearings in the music world. After 8 years of
work, he decides to start a solo career, to better achieve his
objectives.
GEES proposes a diverse musical world, bringing together and mixing
different styles, while always keeping a critical eye on today’s
world.
In 2009, he is working very hard on an album full of surprises, to
take his revenge on life But the music world is full of false promises
and fata morganas, full of people whose intentions are not always
favorable. It is only late in 2010 that the team was found to complete
''A TRAVERS VOS YEUX'' (THROUGH YOUR EYES), his first street album
freely downloadable on his internet site www.geesrnb.com since July
2012.
In 2012 this great athlete also achieved one of his goals - he and his
team, the BLACK PANTHERS of Thonon-les-Bains, became vice-champions of
the French Elite american football championship.
Having reached those two goals, 2013 will be a year of rest, he will
endeavour to reduce his overweight and GEES will be back as sincere
and full of new ideas as before, presenting his new project ''NO PAIN
NO GAME''.
