Biography

Ded Elk is an alternative rock duo from Basel, Switzerland.
With their dark tone and heavy riffs, intimate yet fierce vocals, and their bleak and melancholic lyrics the band quickly established themselves within the local scene playing underground shows, clubs, and festivals.
Ded Elk deliver a tongue-in-cheek critique of today‘s hedonistic and smug lifestyle and its lack of self-reflection and self-improvement. They paint abstract pictures of ambivalent love, harmful and traumatic experiences, and the power to overcome. Guitar riffs that hit like sledgehammers, tribal grooves and beats that make you want to shake your body and vocals that cut deep.
