Biographie

PONSSI is a dynamic band comprised of drummer, Jose Drada and bassist-producer, Jairo Roberto-Barboza. Together, they craft a pulsing blend of electro-pop, infused with the vibrant energy of 2010-20s rock. Their journey began in 2010 in the aftermath of high school, where they first crossed paths and delved into the realm of indie rock, infused with funky rhythms. After a brief hiatus, during which they embarked on a journey of self-discovery, exploring new sounds, souls, and places, they reconnected in the midst of the pandemic, as a means to channel their creative energy, free their minds and once again, embrace the joy of making music.

PONSSI's debut single, featuring the talented vocalist, Valeria Lav, is a bold experimentation in the world of possibilities that can be achieved when powerful synthesizers, emotive vocals, distorted bass and hard-hitting drums come together. It's an exploration of electronic music, indie rock, and hip-hop, fusing modern production techniques with the raw, personal sound of analog recording, resulting in a sonic hybrid format.
